Daniele Veritti, MD, is Associate Professor and clinical ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmology, University of Udine, Udine, Italy. 

Professor Veritti’s clinical activities include medical retina, glaucoma and ophthalmic surgery. His scientific research focuses mainly on chorioretinal diseases, laser-tissue interaction, innovative diagnostic techniques in ophthalmology, and deep learning applications in retinal imaging. He has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals, as well as over 10 book chapters. The results of his research are regularly presented at national and international scientific meetings.

Prof. Veritti serves as editor and reviewer for major journals in the field and he is a member of several national and international ophthalmological societies. He is a founding member of the Young Ophthalmologists Retinal Imaging Society (YORIS).  He currently holds a US and EU patent for tonometry.
