Christian Simader is an expert in digital imaging. He has established the Vienna Reading Center, an independent institution, specialized in standardized digital image analysis of clinical multi-center trials in ophthalmology. The Vienna Reading Center is cooperating with more than 200 clinical study sites worldwide.
He made his MSc in physics at the Technical University of Vienna where he specialized in micro-X-ray-CT. During his medical studies at the Medical University of Vienna he specialized in corneal imaging for transplantations and refractive applications. During his residency in ophthalmology he already focused on diagnosis and new treatment concepts in retinology.
