On 1995 she graduated summa cum laude from the Medicine and Surgery Faculty of the University of Pavia. On 2000 she graduated summa cum laude from the School for Ophthalmology at the University of Pavia.
Since 2001 she worked as ophthalmic medical dirigent
Since 2003, she is a contract professor at the School for Ophthalmology at the University of Pavia. She won the MSD International 2006 award.
Currently, she is a researcher of the Fondazione IRCCS Policlinico San Matteo and an ophthalmologist at the ASST Bergamo Est where she is responsible of the Glaucoma Centre.
Her major clinical and research interests are focused on glaucoma, ocular surface, quality of life. She has to her credit more than 60 peer reviewed publications.
