Dr. Cereda graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Milan, where he also obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmology. He served as a consultant at the Sacro Cuore Hospital of Negrar, Verona, collaborating continuously with Dr. Grazia Pertile. In 2011, he attended a Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Rotterdam’s Eye Hospital in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Since 2012 he has been working as a consultant vitreo-retina surgeon at the Eye Clinic of the Sacco Hospital directed by Prof. Giovanni Staurenghi, where he also acts as a contract professor for the University of Milan. He collaborates with Dr. Lucio Buratto at the CAMO clinic in Milan.

Dr. Cereda has been a speaker at national and international conferences, has authored or co-authored numerous scientific papers and serves as a reviewer for international journals. He was awarded by SOI with the Scientific Research Project Award. He is a founder, together with engineers from the Polytechnic of Milano, of MgShell, an innovative start-up for the development of pharmacological devices.
