Barcelona , Spain (Director: Dr. Borja Corcostegui)
• From September 2009 to September 2010 at the Univesidad Autonoma de
Barcelona (UAB): Master in Vitreoretina at the IMO (Institut de Microcirugia Ocular)
in Barcelona , Spain (Director: Dr. Borja Corcostegui)
• From April to August 2009: Ophthalmologist at the Department of
Vitreo-Retinal Surgery in Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Milan
(Director: Dr. Antonio Scialdone)
• From 2004 to 2008: Attended and worked as a graduate student in the Department of
Ophthalmology at San Paolo Hospital in Milan (Director: Prof. Nicola Orzalesi).
During these years, her focus is mainly on medical and surgical retinal diseases . Her
training includes in particular:
– Phacoemulsification surgery
– Glaucoma Surgery
– Keratoplasty
– Vitreo-Retinal Surgery (macular surgery and retinal detachment)
– Pediatric Ophthalmic surgery: strabismus, ptosis, lacrimal duct intubation,
congenital cataracts, enucleation, etc. .. at the Unit of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (Director: Prof. Paolo Nucci)
– Intravitreal injections
– Small Ophthalmoplastic Surgery
– Retinal Argon laser
– Yag Laser Capsulotomy
– Fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography (Vascular disorders, Age-related
macular degeneration, etc. ..)
