Alfonso Giovannini graduated at Bologna University, he followed his residency at Ophthalmological Clinique of University of Bologna (Italy).
He completed his education in vitreoretinical diseases at the University of Zurich (Prof. K. Kloti), Univeristy of Creteil (Prof G. Coascas), Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute Baltimora (prof R. Michels), Eye and Ear Infirmary Hospital New York (Prof L.Yannuzzi)
Member of Macula Society, Prof Giovannini has published over 350 national and International articles on retinal diseases and ocular phisiopatology.
His major interest include Medical Retina, Macular Laser Therapy, Vitreoretinic Disorders, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy and Intravitreal Therapy.
