Miroslav Kulanga was born 11.12.1980 in Slovakia. He studied at a German bilingual high school in Poprad. In 2001, he moved to Germany to study medicine at the Georg-August-University in Göttingen. After Graduation he worked in medical industry for 3 years. After that, he turned back to clinical medicine and started residency in ophthalmology at his alma mater University hospital in Göttingen. During the residency he trained for 1,5 years in retinal surgery, developed a clinical software for management of intravitreal therapies and was the main expert for the uveitis consultations. Since 2016 he is fellow of European board of ophthalmology. In the same year he finished his residency in ophthalmology. He moved to Hamburg to work for Nordblick, an eye care network in Schleswig-Holstein, as a director of practices in the southern region. In 2020 he decided to go back to his home country to open his own Kulanga eye clinic in Poprad.
