Francesco Failla received his medical degree from Geneva University in 1984 and then completed his residency at the Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich Eye Clinics. In 1994 he founded the LaserVis Refractive Surgery Centre in Locarno, Switzerland, where he has his private practice and in 2002 the ArcLaser Refractive Surgery Centre in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. He is Past President of the Swiss Eye Surgery Academy.
Dr. Failla’s major clinical interests include refractive, cataract and glaucoma surgery and he is consultant in anterior segment surgery at Clinica Santa Chiara in Locarno, Switzerland and at Clinique Volta in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
He is a regular teacher in Wet-labs and Masterclasses on refractive and cataract surgery with special focus on surgical techniques, as in Premium and phakic IOLs.
